CID is a TV series having thrill, crime, comedy, investigation. The main characters of the series are:
- Shivaji Satam as ACP Paradyuman
- Narendra Gupta as Dr. Salunkhe
- Dayanand Shetty as Daya
- Aditya Srivastav as Abhijeet
- Dinesh Phadnis as Fredricks
These are the five main characters who are in this series since its inception. Some other actors also joined and left the series. Dhananjay Mandrekar has joined as Sudhakar and worked for seven years and Ashwini Kalsekar worked as Asha for six years. The series was started on 21 January 1998 and is continuing even today. The show is telecasted on Sony Entertainment Television channel and Sony Pal channel.
People love this series due to the ways the CID team implements to catch the culprits. There were some episodes in which the CID team itself was in danger. People love the dialogue delivery of Pradyuman and comedy of Fredricks. Besides these, chat between Dr. Salunkhe and ACP Pradyuman is also enjoyed. The cases which are investigated are based mostly on murder. But some episodes also included kidnapping, theft and many other crimes.
World Record of CID:
One of its episodes was shot in 111 minutes and due to this, the series got its name in Limca Book of Record and Guinness Book of World record. The episode was shot without any cut. The episode was shit in Lonavala on 7th November 2004.
