Salute to Amitabh Bachchan who pays off debts of 1398 UP farmers!!

In a great gesture of Humanity and Generosity, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, one of the greatest and legendary actors of Indian Cinema paid off the debts of 1398 UP farmers, which accounted to INR 4.05 Crores. 

For the past 20 years, 300,000 farmers have taken their lives due to the pressure of debts. Thousands of farmers struggle silently in the burden of debt. Amitabh Bachchan, who is 76, is one of India's most popular and best-known actors and a great people's person. He has taken this magnanimous step of clearing the loans of some of the debt-ridden farmers that are owed to a government-owned Bank of India. He was issued a "one-time settlement document and certificate" after clearing off the debts of 1398 farmers from his birthplace in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh.

The generous actor whose heart is as big as his stature and persona took to twitter and posted that he also arranged for 70 farmers to travel to Mumbai to meet him and receive their bank letters.  

Earlier Mr.Bachchan has helped 350 farmers from Maharashtra by paying off their loans. He posted this on his social media that he felt a "sense of accomplishment" after this great gesture.

"Gratitude leans across to the desire of removing some of the burdens that farmers continue to suffer from... It was Maharashtra first when over 350 farmers loans were taken care of... now it's UP and 1398 of them that had outstanding of loans on banks has been done with an outlay of 4.05 crore."

"And the inner peace it generates when the desired is completed," he wrote.
