Large shopping malls, on the other hand, are a one-stop shop for everything from top-notch brands of clothes, shoes, cosmetics, accessories etc. They fall in the have it all category. 

Here is a list of 10 largest shopping malls in the world according to their leasable area and 8 out of 10 of the malls are in Asia:

New South China Mall:

The largest mall in the world is located in Dongguan, China and is often termed as the " ghost mall" because most of the shops in the mall have not opened and only a few near the entrance are open. The mall also has seven zoned based on international cities and a roller coaster too just that it is unable to attract customers because of which it has suffered great loss. It has a total area of 6.46 million sq ft.

Golden Resources Mall:

The mal is just a little small than the New South China mall with an area of 6 million square feet and so it was the largest shopping mall in the year 2004-2005. This mall is situated outside Beijing is unable to attract customers and also because most of the items in the mall are overpriced.

CentralWorld Mall:

Situated in Bangkok it is the largest mall of Thailand with an area of 4.62 million sq ft. It is a mall where middle-class people can easily shop from.

SM Mall of Asia:

The SM Mall of Asia located in the Philippines, Asia has got an IMAX theatre which has the world's largest 3D screen. Its main attraction is the IMAX theatre and it also has an Olympic sized ice skating rink. All in all, it has four buildings.

Dubai Mall:

The very famous Dubai Mall which is a part of the Burj Khalifa complex is the largest mall in the world if the total is taken into account that is 12 million square feet. It also the worlds largest aquarium and more than 1200 shops, hotel, and a multiplex with 22 screens.

West Edmonton Mall:

With an area of 3.77 million sq ft,  it is situated in Alberta, Canada and is the largest mall in the Americas.  Its main attraction is the worlds largest indoor amusement and water park. 

SM Megamall:

 It is the second largest mall in the Philippines with an area of 3.6 million sq ft. It has two main buildings and is a crowdy mall where a lot of people shop from.

 With an area of 3.47 mall it is the eighth largest mall in the world and the largest mall in Turkey, Europe.

Berjaya Times Square:

It has Asia's largest indoor theme park and is located in Kuala Lumpur in the twin tower complex.

Siam Paragon:

This mall in Bangkok with an area of 3.22 million sq ft is a major attraction in Bangkok and has got several outlets and eateries thus making it the 10th largest mall in the world.
