What are the best MBA colleges in Lucknow?

Lucknow is a hub of educational institutes where people can choose their stream and get admission in their dream college or university. There are many MBA institutes and some of them have been discussed here. 

Indian Institute of Management:

IIM, Lucknow is the fourth among the IIM family and is an autonomous public business school. It is spread over an area of 200 acres. It has been accredited by AMBA, a global accreditation body. IIM is a center for Business Sustainability, Innovation and Incubation center, Internet Commerce Research Centre and also a Centre for Food and Agribusiness Management.

The hostel has an accommodation for 500 students and 75 faculties. The library has a collection of around 40,000 books, 500 periodicals,1600 journals. The college also has a fitness and recreation center, a multipurpose utility hall for various activities.

The placement records are such that 24% offers are made in sales and marketing, 21% in consulting, 18% in Finance, 10% in IT/Systems, 10% in General Management,10% in Operations/Supply Chain. In 2014, there were 436 students for placement, 207 recruiters,440  number of offers made, 92 pre-placement offers.

Jaipuria Institute of Management:

JIM, Lucknow was established in 1995 and was led by Dr. S R Musanna. It offers three Post Graduate Diploma in Management, namely: PGDM (Retail Management), PGDM (Financial Services), PGDM (Part Time).The college is spread over 10 acres of land. It has been ranked 23rd by the NHRDN.

The institute has around 20000 volumes of books,1131 journals,1214 trade journals,528 market research reports. The college encourages research works in the field of alternative approaches to liberalization in Bhutan and Islamic finance. The college also has an annual fest named OJAS. Various companies visit the campus every year for recruitment and the packages go as high as 12 lakhs. The average package is 5.7 lakhs.

SRM Business School:

The college was established in 2009, got approved by AICTE, MHRD government of India and it got affiliated to UPTU as well.The college takes admission for 90 students for Master of Computer Application and Master of Business Administration course each.It also takes 60 students for PGDM, Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Computer Application courses.

The college offers Internships, Incubation center, Guest Lectures, Industry Visit, MDPs, Seminars and Workshops and consulting. There are clubs such as Finance, Soft Skills, Marketing and Human Resource Management Club. The college also organizes cultural and technical fests. A handful of companies like HDFC Bank, Jindal Steel and Power Limited, Reliance Money, Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance, etc visit every year for placement.

Amity University:

The university was established in the year 2004 and has received recognition from UGC, State Govt MHRD, and other govt. bodies. It has been accredited by NAAC (A Grade).It has 5000+ students, over 64 programs running and a campus area of 40 acres.

The college has the facilities such as computer labs, medical help, cafeteria, labs, auditorium, library, hostel, sports, gym, and classrooms. The frequently visiting companies are Citicorp Finance India Ltd., Business Development Asia, Amway India, etc for placement.
