How can Virtual reality be useful in daily life?

If we had talked about the possibilities and capabilities of Virtual Reality in past decade, we would have laughed and considered as on those fantasies of science fiction. However, today, it seems like our entire future would be covered with all the advancements in Virtual Reality. Leading entrepreneurs have shown their immense interest in this field. They understand this fact very well that even from a business point of view; Virtual Reality is the ultimate future. Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, has already begun his preparation for a golden future in VR. He is investing a huge amount of his company’s fortune in funding the start-ups, which are currently working in advancing Virtual Reality.  

On March 28, 2016, Palmer Luckey, a 23-year old VR Creator, launched his visionary VR System, Oculus Rift. It proved to be one of the greatest breakthroughs in the VR history. Luckey’s startup was bought by Facebook, which made him the billionaire overnight.

In past, we use to have heavy headsets and rough graphics, which hindered the best experience from Virtual Reality. However, Rift’s success has proved that there is more to witness in the future. According to Zuckerberg, VR will help us to experience the impossible.

It makes everything possible by tricking your eyes, and brain, which makes you think that you are somewhere else. It combines with motion sensing hardware and provide us with Pixar-level graphics. Moreover, VR-lite, have been recently introduced, which a 360-degree video that keeps you are wedged in a certain position as you move around. What is more fun in experiencing all these amazing things when the person in the control is only YOU!

VR is not only about entertainment and playing games. It can have applications in other industries also. It could be proved as the best Defence Tool when it comes to tracking the opponent’s war techniques. Moreover, Cinema industry has its wide application for displaying their content in a more informative and creative way. People related to technology says Virtual Reality is just the beginning, there is more exciting technology which could be coming in our way is what they are calling “mixed reality”, where you can experience computer generated objects moving in real-world around you, not just in the virtual world.

VR aims to change our life in confounding ways. It will change the way we live, learn and grow. With promising technologies like Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, we are changing our world every day.  Without any rules, it would be a very cool place to be in. Still, we must not let our real world become gray. It is the world, which we need to make a heaven so that we could get the best of both worlds.
