Now Food from Outside Is Allowed and No Extra Charge on MRP In Multiplex Cinemas In Maharashtra

A great news for the multiplex-goers of Maharashtra. You no more have to be compelled to eat the food available inside multiplexes because from August 1 you are allowed to take food from outside. Moreover, the vendors inside these multi cinemas cannot ask you to pay extra even a single penny other than the MRP and if they do so, they have to bear a heavy penalty.

Attention Motion By Dhananjaya Munde

An Attention Motion was raised in the Legislative Assembly by Dhananjaya Munde during the Monsoon Session citing the example of the Multiplex located at Mahamarg where the food from outside is not allowed. He also drew everyone’s attention with the fact that forget about MRP, food items are sold at a whopping price at such places and the people are left with no choice rather than paying the same. He stressed upon the idea of the Government’s intervention in this matter.

The MPs including Sanjay Dutt, Anil Bhosle, Nilam Gonhey and Praveen Darekar also came up with their question during the argument and favored Mundey. After this proposal, the people will take a sigh of relief and they no more have to pay extra from August 1.

Raj Thackeray Also Initiated

It is noteworthy that Raj Thackeray’s party Maharastra Nav Nirman has been raising this issue from the past many months. There was a brawl at a cinema hall in Pune and a manager of food court became the victim of a rampage by some hooligans. The party also warned multiplex owners on the issue and start a movement if the prices are not mitigated. Soon after, the multi-owners met Raj Thackeray and asked for some more time to reduce the prices. Above all, the Bombay High court had also taken the cognition and said that the prices should be reduced.
