Gold Trailer Is Out and the Figures Reveal How Curious the Audience Is to Watch It

Akshay Kumar starrer Gold’s trailer is out now and the film is receiving a burst of applause from all ends for its outstanding patriotic theme, which gets surfaced through the game of hockey. It has astonished everyone by receiving 9 million views within 24 hours of its release and this itself is a record. The makers, Excel Entertainment, Farhan Akhtar, and Ritesh Sidhwani are very happy with the overwhelming response the trailer has got and they expect the same with the film once it hits the theatres on 15 Aug.

Gold is directed by Reema Kagti who has previously helmed the films like Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd and followed by neo-noir Talaash. Reema is also very happy with the ‘thums-up’ the trailer of Gold has got by the audience as well as the industry.     

Set in the backdrop of 1948, Gold is filled with the emotional waves of patriotism and takes you on the ride of an era where the Britishers controlled everything, even the game. The whole plot of the film revolves around the assistant manager Tapan Das, who once in 1936 dreamed of playing for the nation, but things take a reverse turn and his dream gets shattered due to the British ploys. However, he never gave up and kept on pursuing it with his team and perfuse valor to win the title in each player. Finally, after 12 years of struggle Tapan and his team gives us enough reasons to cherish and make all of us feel proud as the team wins its first-ever gold medal as the free nation in 1948.  

Besides, Akshay Kumar playing the lead role, Mouni Roy, the former Nagin of the small screen is making her Bollywood debut with Gold. Apart from the duo, Vineet Kumar Singh, Amit Sadh, Kunal Kapoor will also be seen in this patriotic drama.
