Are you also pondering upon sending your kid to a pre-school, and therefore; sieving schools in the orbit around you? Wait! To introduce the pre-school concept in government education system, the Center is going to start it's pre-school soon.

The Secretary of Union School Education, Anil Swarup told the sources that the central government has proposed the plan to initiate kindergarten units with the NCERT, which is going to prepare the curriculum.  

Mr. Swarup says,

“There is a preparatory work to be done before a child enters into class one. We are studying how pre-school will work in the government domain. What approach needs to be taken?”.

By this year, NCERT will come up with the curriculum, he further adds on the sidelines of a session on pre-school policy organized by the ASSOCHAM. He also revealed that the HRD ministry will prepare a guideline by June 30 associated with the suggested pre-school constituents to be established by the school education department.

On the question of the role of private pre-schools, he stated,

“The private sector is already doing a fantastic job and can provide us a good deal of ideas. I strongly believe that good work can be done in both public and private sectors. This will also boost the program “Samagra Shiksha’ launched last month and our major plan is to offer holistic education at a constant pace from kindergarten to 12th. Therefore, a great support will also be needed to roll out this program effectively”, he added.
