Why do people take a holiday from office on their birthday?

• To avoid senseless parties. 
• Avoid work on a precious day.
• Want to celebrate the day only with family and friends.
• Some folks like to go to the temple and worship.
• Some like to go for an outing or long drive. 
• In many cases, girlfriends/boyfriends/wives husbands do not allow them to go to work. 😉😉😀
