Story

Badhaai Ho belongs to a middle-class Kaushik family in which there is a grandmother (Surekha Sikri) whose son is a TT Jitendra Kaushik (Gajraj Rao) in Railways and on the verge of retirement. He stays with her middle-aged wife (Nina Gupta) and two sons. The eldest son Nakul Kaushik (Ayushmann Khurrana) is in a private job and is in love with his colleague René (Sanya Malhotra) and want to get married. The younger son of this family is studying in his 12th class. Everything goes silky smooth in the Kaushik family until a rainy night, which suddenly transforms the life of the whole family.

Screenplay and Dialogues

Penned by the trio-Akshat Ghildial, Jyoti Kapoor, and Shantanu Shrivastava, the story of Badhaai Ho takes you to a laugh riot and hardly allows you to leave the edge of the seat. The plot also offers you moments when you have damp eyes. The emotions are fabricated into the plot so finely that you get along with the whole affair effortlessly.

Answer Image

Dialogues by Akshat Ghildial are accurate and ‘desi’ in flavor. It is the influence of the conversation that you easily get attached to every character that appears on the screen.

Direction

Amit Ravindernath Sharma after directing Badhaai Ho discards all the grievances the audience built up after watching his directorial debut ‘Tevar’. He has been brilliantly able to keep his audience at the edge of their seat throughout the film and with the excellent pace of the film, you even forget when 2h 10 minutes vapors.

Why Should I Watch?

Go for this hilarious and quirky ride if your quest for ‘Good Content’ is not over yet. You can also recall someone in your acquaintance who bear the same pain once during the watch.
